We live in a privileged area where astonishing natural beauty meets an astonishing variety and quality of performing arts. Love for theatre brings people together. At least it should. While promoting a theatre show in Snowmass Village, I had friends talking about the invisible wall: Aspen people don’t come to shows in Snowmass. Downvalley people don’t attend productions upvalley and the other way round. Is that so? I dare to doubt that this is a general rule.

What I discovered to be true is that it is hard to get the word out about a good show. People end up missing plays just because they didn’t hear about them. Your best chance to know about every performance that’s going on in the valley is to become friends with all the local actors. Or you could make Theatre Hotspot your new friend. Or both!

Theatre Hotspot is the place for “Goers.” We are people who are not hesitant to take a half hour ride to see a good show. We enjoy getting together and celebrating culture. On this website, you’ll find information about every show playing between Glenwood Springs and Aspen.
